Event Overview
During the World Water Week, Professor Kaveh Madani, the 2026 Stockholm Water Prize Laureate, will be hosted by the Water Center at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, to deliver his public Prize lecture.

Known as "the Nobel Prize of Water", the Stockholm Water Prize is the world's most prestigious water award. Professor Madani receives this Prize in 2026 in recognition of his transformative research and global leadership in water governance. His work has helped shift the focus of water management from infrastructure alone toward the governance structures and decision-making processes that underpin many water crises. His research has also advanced understanding of transboundary water management through science-based approaches to conflict resolution and the sustainable management of shared water resources.
