Anna is a Research Associate with the EVES Division, where she supports the WetlandHealth4UNGoals project. With her background in environmental science and GIS, she is particularly interested in using spatial data to analyse climate change impacts and support the development of adaptation strategies.
Originally from Florida, Anna completed her BSc in Environmental Health Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Afterwards, she worked as an environmental consultant, where she discovered her interest in GIS and later transitioned to a GIS Analyst role. Seeking to develop her social science perspective, Anna went on to pursue her MSc degree in the Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security from the UNU-EHS and the University of Bonn. In her Master's thesis, Anna focused on the use of beach nourishment as a climate adaptation strategy, assessing its long-term sustainability through a literature review, expert interviews and case study.
