The Municipality of Guimarães is part of the Cooperation Agreement of the InovaJuntos Portugal Network, a territorial cooperation platform that brings together the municipalities of Cascais, Coimbra, Guimarães, Olhão, and Valongo, as well as AMAL, the Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve.
In this context, the first meeting of the InovaJuntos Portugal Network was held in Guimarães on June 2nd and 3rd. As part of the programme, participants visited the UNU-EGOV on the first day, where they learned about the Unit's mission and ongoing work.
The delegation was welcomed by the UNU-EGOV Director, Delfina Soares, accompanied by the Deputy Director, Luís Barbosa, and researchers Joana Carvalho, Mariana Lameiras, and Nuno Barbosa.
The session offered an overview of the UNU-EGOV's activities, with a particular focus on capacity development to support more transparent and efficient governance.
The meeting contributed to ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with public-sector representatives, foster connections between research and practice, and align UNU-EGOV’s work with national policies on digital governance.
