The United Nations University – Operating Unit on Policy-driven Electronic Governance (UNU‑EGOV) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are organizing the webinar "Foresight for FAIR Cities: Exploring AI Risks and Mitigation Strategies". The session will be held on Friday, September 18th, from 14h00 to 15h00 CEST (13h00 Lisbon Time | UTC+1).
This webinar will contribute to the work of the “FAIR Cities” Working Group under the United for Smart Sustainable Cities (U4SSC) initiative. It will present key work of the Working Group, including the Guide for Cities on FAIR AI and the Repository of Best Practices and Frameworks for Urban AI.
The session will also introduce a strategic foresight perspective, exploring emerging AI-related risks, possible future scenarios and practical mitigation strategies to support responsible, inclusive and future-ready urban governance.
Participation is free of charge and open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates, ITU Academia, and any individual from an ITU Member State who wishes to contribute to the work. This includes individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations.
