EGOV Workshop Explores Challenges of e-Participation and Co-creation

UNU-EGOV hosts internal workshop on e-participation and co-creation challenges, led by Visiting Fellow Noella Edelmann in Guimarães.

On 25 July 2023, UNU-EGOV hosted a workshop titled “Challenges of e-Participation and Co-creation”, delivered by Visiting Fellow Noella Edelmann from Danube University Krems (Austria).

Held at the Operating Unit’s headquarters in Guimarães, Portugal, the session brought together researchers and staff to explore practical and conceptual issues surrounding citizen involvement in digital governance processes. Dr Edelmann discussed the challenges of designing inclusive digital participation tools, building trust in co-creation efforts, and managing the ethical dimensions of stakeholder engagement.

The event marked the first in a two-part internal workshop series facilitated by Dr Edelmann during her Fellowship at UNU-EGOV, reinforcing the Unit’s focus on participatory governance and inclusive digital transformation.
