Kim YoungSik is a Senior Associate Expert at the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV) since 2022.
He has over 40 years of ICT & e-Government consulting experiences in the private sector, academy and government organizations in several countries. At UNU-EGOV, he is assigned to the Digital Government Project in DGA, Saudi Arabia.
Most recently, he was e-Government advisor in Tunisia through KOICA. Before Tunisia, he was also international e-Government Advsor in Vietnam, Thailand, Moldova, Afghanistan, Nepal and Mongolia Government through Korean Government and World Bank. He has 10 years international assignment experiences total. He was a visiting Professor in KAIST ITTP program and Chungbuk National University GLOMIS program, where he is teaching e-Government topics to international students from developing countries for 3 years. He was also Associate Fellow in UNU e-Government Center in Macau for 3 years to support Nepal, Afghanistan e-Government Master Plan development. Prior to this, he was in IBM Korea, IBM Asia Pacific/Japan as Systems Engineer, Project Manager, QA Manager and Outsourcing Executive for 23 years.
He holds a BS in Information & Telecommunication Engineering in Korea Aerospace University (KAU) and Certificate of completion Master/Ph.D course in KAU, Korea.
