Ann Van Griensven is a Professorial Fellow at UNU-CRIS

Ann van Griensven is Professor of Hydrology and Water Quality and Head of the Department of Water and Climate of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She is also Associate Professor of hydrology and water quality in the chair group of hydrology and water resources at IHE-Delft, Netherlands. She is leading the AXA Chair on Water Quality and Global Change and the UNESCO Chair on Open Water Science and Education.

During her Professorial Fellowship at UNU-CRIS, Ann van Griensven will primarily work on topics related to the water-food-energy-environment nexus, cross-border water governance, hydroclimatic resilience (using CRIDA) and remote sensing, citizen science and models for water quality applications in collaboration with Nidhi Nagabhatla within the Nature, Climate and Health Cluster.

Ann van Griensven is mainly active in Africa (Lake Victoria) and Latin America (Lake Titicaca).
