He explores how AI can analyze satellite data to identify newly opened illegal roads and anticipate potential deforestation hotspots in the Amazon. He also highlights the importance of locally developed solutions, institutional knowledge and trust between research institutions and law enforcement agencies in turning this data into effective action.
