The Gender and Health Policy Hub (GHPH) coordinated by the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) seeks to build a foundation to co-produce evidence that informs and supports global, regional, and national action on gender and health in substantial, innovative, and disruptive ways. With an aim to build a forward-looking action and research agenda, the Hub has 3 substantive outcomes over 3 years:

  • Developing and engaging a vibrant network of policy-makers, academics, and implementers working in gender and global health;
  • Consolidating and generating policy-relevant evidence on effective interventions and best practices for integrating gender in health programming; and
  • Accelerating action by communicating and applying evidence of what works in gender and health programming

This is the first formal partnership between the United Nations University (UNU) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
