Elena Camilletti is a Research Officer at UNICEF Innocenti - Global Office of Research and Foresight and a dual-career PhD fellow at UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University.
Elena's research interests are at the intersections of gender, child well-being and social protection. In her PhD thesis, she is exploring the issue of unpaid care and domestic work among children and adolescents in low- and middle-income countries, its nature, causes and consequences, as well as interventions to address it. She is supervised by Prof. Dr. Wim Groot, Prof. Dr. Franziska Gassman, and Dr. Bruno Martorano.
Elena is currently working as a Research Officer at UNICEF Innocenti - Global Office of Research and Foresight, in Florence, Italy. She holds a Master of Science in Emerging Economies and Inclusive Development from King's College London, and a Bachelor's degree in International relations and diplomatic affairs from the University of Bologna.
