UNU–TUHH PhD in Engineering to Face Climate Change

Wat

This doctoral Programme is delivered by UNU-INWEH in collaboration with Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) at the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change.
As part of the Hub's mission to develop sustainable engineering solutions for climate-related challenges, TUHH and UNU-INWEH are developing joint PhD positions, with new opportunities. The Climate Informed Engineering graduate college, launched in 2025 with the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, trains doctoral candidates in high-resolution climate modelling and its application to the Sustainable Development Goals.

About The Hub

Inaugurated on 27 May 2024, the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change at TUHH is the first UNU Hub at a university in Europe. It works across three pillars — Research & Innovation, Education & Capacity Building, and Outreach, Advocacy & Impact.
