International Master's programme at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), delivered through the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change.
The International Master Program in Environmental Engineering focuses on current developments in environmental technology, with a solid grounding in its scientific and economic foundations. Students can specialise in one of three areas: Energy and Resources; Environment and Climate; and Water Quality and Water Engineering.
At the start of the programme, all students take compulsory courses in environmental management, waste and wastewater treatment, fluid dynamics and hydrology, and environmental analytics. From the third semester, students develop their chosen specialisation, alongside non-technical classes such as business economics or foreign languages.
About the TUHH Hub
Inaugurated on 27 May 2024, the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change at TUHH is the first UNU Hub at a university in Europe. It works across three pillars — Research & Innovation, Education & Capacity Building, and Outreach, Advocacy & Impact — and, as part of the collaboration, is developing joint PhD and Master's degrees along with new PhD positions for candidates from the Global South.
