Ms. Narges Saffar is an environmental specialist with over 20 years of experience in environmental policy, sustainability, and international cooperation.  

In her role as the Capacity Development Specialist at UNU-INWEH, Ms. Saffar helps develop and coordinate environmental management training courses, including translating them into different languages and reviewing existing ones.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to numerous international environmental initiatives and participated in high-level negotiations and conventions, including the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council, UNFCCC, Ramsar Convention, and United Nations Environment Assemblies (UNEAs).

She holds a Master’s degree in Marine Ecology Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. Additionally, she has earned diplomas in Multilateral Environmental Agreements and is an alumna of the 44th UNEP/UNESCO/BMU International Postgraduate Course on Environmental Management for Developing Countries.
