Fui Ching Lam holds a Master of Biomedical Science (by Research) from Monash University and brings a multidisciplinary background in global health, public health intelligence, data science, and evidence-informed policy analysis. She has held roles across academic, government, and international institutions, including the UK Department of Health and Social Care, UK Health Security Agency, Durham County Council, the South East Asia Community Observatory, and UNU-IIGH.

Fui Ching has applied both quantitative and qualitative methods across a range of public and global health areas. She has contributed to national surveillance systems, policy dashboards, and implementation research trends in collaboration with organisations such as the World Health Organization and UNICEF.

Her work emphasises making research inclusive, ethically grounded, and accessible to a wide range of stakeholders. She has contributed to projects on digital health governance, gender and intersectionality, and social care inequalities, as well as tools and publications that have supported both local and national decision-making, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. With a focus on translating evidence into meaningful and inclusive policy action, she has supported vaccination equity strategies, perinatal and excess mortality surveillance, and digital solutions for local health authorities and policymakers.

Beyond technical expertise, Fui Ching is passionate about interdisciplinary research that prioritises equity, transparency, and real-world impact. Her current work contributes to shaping safer and more effective health technology policies. She continues to build her career in global and public health, using her skills to support evidence-based decision-making and to strengthen systems and policies that aim to leave no one behind.
