Beyond Classrooms: Education as a Mechanism for Community Climate Action

A side event of UNFCCC COP27 will be held in Egypt on transformative community-based climate action and local solutions to global issues.

This side event of the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, will discuss transformative community-based climate action and the importance of local solutions to global issues. It will share examples of education for sustainable development (ESD) projects implemented by the global network of Regional Centres of Expertise on ESD (RCEs).

Participation

This event will be open to all participants of UNFCCC COP27. It will be part of the Action Hub in the Blue Zone at COP27.

The event will be streamed live on the UNFCCC YouTube channel and the UNFCCC Virtual Platform (for registered delegates).
