UNU-IAS Board Convenes for 2022 Meeting

The Board reviewed UNU-IAS activities and progress, and received briefings on research, teaching, and capacity development programmes.

Convening in person for the first time since 2019, the Board reviewed UNU-IAS activities and progress over the preceding year and provided expert guidance. The Board received briefings on UNU-IAS research, teaching, and capacity development programmes and reviewed performance indicators.

Following the meeting Board members engaged with UNU-IAS postgraduate degree students in a special seminar. Two 3rd year doctoral students delivered presentations on their dissertation research, focusing on adaptation to climate change in Tanzania and on solar power in Ghana. Board members offered comments and advice, and engaged in discussion with the student participants.
