UNU-IAS Advisory Board Convenes for 2025 Meeting

The Board reviewed the accomplishments and upcoming initiatives of UNU-IAS through meetings with management, researchers, staff and students.

On 11-12 November 2025, the advisory Board of UNU-IAS convened in Tokyo for its annual meeting. The Board received briefings on the institute's activities and achievements in research, policy engagement, education and capacity development, and reviewed performance indicators.

A student seminar was held after the meeting, in which the Board received research presentations from two UNU-IAS PhD students, focused on water challenges in Bodh Gaya, India; and the impact of textile production on local water resources in Dhaka. Board members provided expert feedback to the students for further developing their research.
