On 2 October 2023, an interview with Akio Takemoto (Head of Programme and Administration, UNU-IAS) was broadcast by the local television station Tokyo MX as part of its programme “Horijun's Morning FLAG”. The programme focused on progress towards achieving the SDGs in Japan. Dr. Takemoto stressed the need for international collaboration and for each country to make proactive efforts to advance the goals, including Japan.
Tokyo MX, Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corporation is a local television company in Tokyo, which aims to disseminate information about the city of Tokyo in Japan and beyond.
