Tsunakan Journal Highlights UNU-IAS Contributions to Achieving SDG 6

An article by Emi Yoshinaga discussed efforts towards achieving SDG 6.

In October 2022 the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC) released a new issue of Tsunakan (Vol. 40), a journal focusing on global partnerships for the environment. GEOC is a joint initiative of UNU-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, which supports activities in various social sectors towards sustainability within and beyond Japan.

The “Global View” section of the publication featured an article by Emi Yoshinaga (Programme Coordinator, UNU-IAS) outlining the outcomes of the Water for Sustainable Development project which analysed the impact of water use and water quality on the economy and society. The article discusses UNU-IAS contributions to achieving SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation) through research activities and partnerships with other UN and international organisations.
