Sayako Katsuki is a Programme Assistant for the Strategic Programme and UNU-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa/Kanazawa (OUIK).
In this role, she performs a variety of administrative tasks, including conference management, and provides operational support for OUIK.
Before joining UNU-IAS in 2025, Sayako worked as a project coordinator at the Embassy of Japan in Fiji. Focusing on the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, she formalized community assistance projects in Fiji, Kiribati and Nauru. She has also worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
