Jerome Sardido Silla is a Research Associate for the Innovation and Education (IVE) Programme at UNU-IAS.

With a background in international development engineering, he specializes in technology integration across education, culture and sustainability. At UNU-IAS, he designs and delivers ICT-based capacity-building initiatives spanning climate change education, cultural heritage safeguarding and AI literacy. He also leads the coordination of the UN HESI Action Group on the Futures of Higher Education and AI, and develops global knowledge-sharing efforts on AI and sustainability through podcasts, webinars and key UN events, bridging perspectives between the Global South and Global North.

Prior to joining UNU-IAS, Jerome was a researcher at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he developed a comprehensive World Heritage safeguarding plan in Lao PDR. His work emphasized multistakeholder capacity-building, including ICT training for government officials, digital skills development for secondary and tertiary education teachers, and intergenerational workshops connecting youth with local artisans.
