Seoyoung Lim is a visiting researcher at UNU-FLORES and the Deputy General Manager of the Korea Environment Corporation (K-eco), an affiliate of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea. 

She is currently engaged in a project entitled “Geopolitical and Policy Dynamics of Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling.”

Since joining K-eco in 2006, she has accrued a broad range of experiences, spanning domestic environmental policies such as the Korea Emission Trading Schemes, to international cooperation initiatives like the Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth for Asia and the Pacific region. Furthermore, she has served as a negotiator for the UNFCCC and its Paris Agreement on behalf of the Korean government for seven years. Her specific focus was on the international carbon market, known as Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

Her research is centered around climate change policies, particularly those relevant to GHG reduction, resource circulation, and Sustainable Development.
