The three-day executive training for GCIO was customized to the Information Technology (IT) policy context in Saudi Arabia, particularly the Kingdom’s Second e-Government Action Plan 2012-2016. The training comprised in-depth discussions on the policy and practice of IT use in the Saudi Government, including the questions of challenges and enablers for public sector IT to deliver value, the role and skills required from GCIOs and other government technology leaders, and the role of knowledge- and experience-sharing between GCIOs and other institutional enablers.

  • Design and implement a structured framework for knowledge and experience sharing among GCIOs, institutional enablers, and external experts.
