“Governance of Data in the Public Sector” Book has been Released

A new book on data governance in the public sector emphasizes a holistic approach and Brazilian regulatory insights.

This book addresses core issues of data governance and regulation in the public sector, fostering a systemic view that connects the demands of data openness, personal data protection, and information security. Its goal is to interconnect the dimensions of data governance, emphasizing the need for integration in achieving sustainable digital transformation.

This collaborative effort between the Center for Technology and Society at Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School (CTS-FGV) in Rio de Janeiro and the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) creates one more important tool to better understand the data governance and regulation within the public context.

We congratulate all the researchers involved in this publication, especially mentioning Larissa Magalhães' work on this book as a Research Associate at UNU-EGOV.

Note that the book is written in Portuguese. Access it in the footnotes of this article or directly on the FGV page.
