Erico Przeybilovicz is a Research Associate at the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV) since 2022.

His research interests lie at the intersection of information systems, particularly e- Government, digital and smart governance, e-Participation, smart and sustainable cities, public administration and decolonization.

He has extensive experience working on projects. For instance, developing the Action Plan to implement the Cape Verde Digital Governance;  the Local Online Service Index develop in 53 Brazilian cities. Also, he coordinated a multi-disciplinary team to create a Smart City Maturity Model for the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations. He collaborates with the Brazilian Charter for Smart Cities for the Brazilian Ministry of Regional Development. In 2015 he worked on the project “Smart Cities: Transformação Digital de Cidades” to understand the variables with the most significant impact on smart city projects and the perception and priorities of citizens, specialists, and public managers in Brazil. In Brazil, he has worked as a public employee for the Curitiba Municipality and Paraná State Government and as a business process analyst in the private sector.

Dr Erico Przeybilovicz holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, Brazil, with a visiting period at Utrecht University School of Governance.
