In this interview for the Global Governance Innovation Platform (GGI), recorded during the Global Governance Innovation Inception Workshop (16–17 January 2025), Yanne Horas discusses how countries’ participation in international initiatives can offer lessons for designing more effective governance. Drawing on her work in the debt space, she considers what countries’ engagement, criticism and decisions to opt out can reveal about how such initiatives should be structured.
