Imagination and Innovation in Global Environmental Governance

In this interview for the Global Governance Innovation Platform (GGI), recorded during the Global Governance Innovation Inception Workshop (16–17 January 2025), Maria Ivanova reflects on the role of imagination in addressing global environmental challenges.

She points to recent efforts to tackle plastic pollution as an example, highlighting how countries such as Rwanda and Peru have driven international action and helped shape more inclusive, long-term approaches to global environmental governance.
