Breaking Silos in Global Governance

Silke Weinlich on learning, exchange and collective problem-solving.

In this interview for the Global Governance Innovation Platform (GGI), recorded during the Global Governance Innovation Inception Workshop (16–17 January 2025), Silke Weinlich reflects on the importance of exchange across silos in global governance.

She highlights the need to create spaces for learning among UN actors, governments and non-state stakeholders, and to draw on evidence to translate insights across sectors. With many global challenges cutting across traditional boundaries, she underscores the value of peer exchange and communities of practice in strengthening collective responses.
