The sixteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2 to 13 December 2024.
UNU contributions to COP16 will be key in helping countries and stakeholders understand how we can accelerate action to restore and manage land and boost drought and related disaster resilience for the benefit of ecosystems and people everywhere.
Throughout COP16, UNU institutes and experts will organize and participate in events in Riyadh and online, as well as contribute research commentary and publications.
