Solène Bouda is a Junior Fellow at the United Nations University Paris Office.
She contributes to strengthening UNU’s engagement with organisations and think tanks notably in France, on issues related to science diplomacy, innovation and technology, and ocean governance. Her responsibilities also include supporting the coordination of events and meetings, communications activities, and the preparation of background research and briefing materials.
Solène holds both French and Burkinabè citizenship. Her academic and professional interests focus on Japan-Africa relations, with an emphasis on diplomacy, policy analysis, and international development. She previously interned at the Consulate General of France in Kyoto and at the OECD / Sahel and West Africa Club (SWAC) in Paris.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Politics and completed academic exchanges in Japan, South Korea, and Ghana.
