Junior Fellow
Alexandra Bernhard is a Junior Fellow at the United Nations University Paris Office.
She supports the visibility of UNU in Europe and notably its engagement in France, focusing on issues related to science diplomacy, innovation and technology, and ocean governance. With experience in the organisation of events and communication, she contributes to UNU's outreach and partnership building.
Originally from Germany, Alexandra holds a French Master's degree from Sciences Po Grenoble with a focus on the Middle East and Mediterranean region and studied in Germany, France and Morocco. She previously interned at the German-Jordanian-University in Amman, an NGO in Palestine, the GIZ in Berlin and worked for the German Federal Foreign Office. Her experiences in climate-sensitive regions like the Maghreb, Middle East and the Alpes have strengthened her interest in international cooperation on fighting climate change and biodiversity loss.
Her Junior Fellowship is funded by the Carlo-Schmid-Programme, a scholarship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
