The Regional Centres of Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development is an initiative under the UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) project. The Ubuntu Alliance, in its meeting in April 2006 in Yokohama, established the Committee of Peers for RCEs. This Committee reviews applications for new RCEs and provides recommendations to UNU during the RCE acknowledgement process. UNU-IAS acts as Secretariat of the Ubuntu Alliance.
Organisations that are interested in initiating the RCE process and applying to become an RCE are requested to submit an application and an application summary by 15 May 2021 (11:59 pm JST) to UNU-IAS. Visit the Global RCE Network website for details.
Applications are now open for 2021 Promotion of Sustainability in Postgraduate Education and Research Network (ProSPER.Net) membership. ProSPER.Net, an alliance of higher education institutions, is an initiative under the UNU-IAS Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) project. The ESD project acts as the Secretariat for the network.
Membership is limited to higher education institutions located in the Asia-Pacific region that offer postgraduate education and research in sustainable development and in fields related to education for sustainable development. An affiliate membership category is also open to higher education institutions located outside the Asia-Pacific region who are interested in working together with the network for the benefit of the region.
The deadline for applications is 30 May 2021 at 11:59 pm JST. Visit the ProSPER.Net website for more details.
