From 10 to 21 November 2025, the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) will take place in Belém, Brazil. With the world facing intensifying climate impacts — from extreme weather to food insecurity — global attention will again turn to what concrete commitments and actions emerge from this year’s negotiations.
Dr Sanae Okamoto will represent UNU-MERIT in several sessions as moderator, speaker and panelist.
