The session will highlight key findings from the new publication "Handbook on Sex, Gender, and Health: Perspectives from South Asia", showcasing patterns of health inequities across the region and identifying critical research, policy, and advocacy gaps that must be addressed to advance gender equality and health for all in South Asia. 

Session objectives: 

1. To launch the Handbook virtually and provide an overview of its approach and content 

2. To initiate discussions on the role of structural factors in shaping gender-unequal or gender-blind health systems, policies and programs and showcase examples from South Asia of advocacy and activism towards gender equity and equality in health 

3. To engage stakeholders in identifying actionable insights to advance research, policy, and programs for promoting gender equality and health equity in South Asia.
