Given its history and symbolism, the Frauenkirche Dresden is the perfect place to talk about war and peace. Without scientific research in numerous disciplines, the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche itself would not have been possible.

Today, the Frauenkirche stands as a world-famous place of gathering and a symbol of peace. In the midst of Dresden as a science location, we want to highlight the synergies of science and peace work and make them better known. For this reason, the Stiftung Frauenkirche, the Technische Sammlungen Dresden and UNU-FLORES are jointly inviting you to this year’s Science4Peace Slam.

Are you a researcher and enjoy telling others about your science, and do you look forward to the challenge of speaking in front of a large audience? Then join as a slammer! You get exactly ten minutes to inspire the audience with your questions, insights, and discoveries. In addition to an unforgettable evening under the dome of the Frauenkirche, great prizes await!

Attendance at the science slam is open to all.

To register as a slammer or to receive more information, simply write to Atiqah Fairuz Salleh: b.m.salleh@unu.edu

Registration as a slammer is open until 6 September 2024.
