As of July 2026, Hasret is a Visiting Fellow at the UNU-EGOV.
Hasret Duman is a Visiting Researcher at the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV). Her research visit, funded by the TÜBİTAK 2214-A International Research Fellowship Programme for PhD Students, covers the period from July to December 2026. She is also a Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University and a PhD candidate in Public Administration at Hacettepe University.
Her research focuses on public administration, digital government, digital governance, public policy, digital transformation, disaster management, and the use of emerging technologies in the public sector.
Hasret has contributed to academic research and publications on digital government, digital technologies in public administration, citizen participation, public policy, disaster management, and artificial intelligence. As part of her academic work, she has participated in national and international conferences, seminars, and scientific events, where she has presented research on public administration, digital transformation, disaster management, and emerging technologies.
She has contributed to a funded research project examining the relationship between turnover intention, job satisfaction, and organisational commitment among academics working in regions affected by the 6 February 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. In 2022, she completed a long-term internship at a think tank, where she contributed to various research and project activities.
Hasret is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Administration at Hacettepe University. She completed her master’s degree at the same university in 2022. Her master’s thesis comparatively examined vaccination policies implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic from a public policy perspective. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Gazi University. In 2025, she was also awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2250 Performance-Based Scholarship Programme for Graduate Students.
