Bruno Martinelli is a Government Fellow at UNU-EGOV and a Public Policy and Governmental Management specialist at the Health Department of São Paulo City Hall. His current research focuses on the role of Public Sector Innovation Labs in enhancing citizen participation to address challenges in Digital Health.
Bruno Martinelli is a Government Fellow at the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV). He is also a Public Policy and Governmental Management at the Health Department of São Paulo City Hall.
Previously, he has been working on public sector innovation initiatives, such as “Lab11 – Laboratório de Inovação Pública da Prefeitura de São Paulo” and “IdeiaGov IdeiaGov – Hub de Inovação Aberta do Governo do Estado de São Paulo.” He has been involved in and coordinated innovation projects related to digital inclusion, tax compliance, public services delivery, education, socioeducational service, and childhood.
At present, Bruno’s research is focused on the role of Public Sector Innovation Labs in fostering citizens’ participation in addressing challenges in Digital Health. This research is expected to provide a solid foundation for further studies, guiding practitioners in formulating strategies for citizen participation in PSIL’s initiatives. The expected outcomes are effectively leveraging PSILs and addressing identified challenges in Digital Health, such as citizens’ limited access to digital devices and low digital literacy.
Bruno holds a bachelor and master's degree in Public Policy Management at the University of São Paulo.
