Aymen Boudebouz has been a Research Associate at UNU-EGOV since 2022.
Aymen holds a PhD in Spatial Planning from the University of Porto and Coimbra. His areas of expertise include digital governance, civic engagement, and community development, with a focus on e-Participation and social innovation. Aymen's research has contributed to the development and implementation of innovative governance approaches and adaptive evaluation models for urban programs and policies.
Previously, he has worked as a researcher and expert in local participatory processes in France, collaborating with community members, project professionals, and local government officials to develop standards and guidelines for sustainable urban regeneration projects and public participation processes.
Aymen has also been involved in the development of digital governance initiatives, utilizing innovative technologies such as AI, VR, and Blockchain to create decentralized online platforms that engage citizens, organizations, and institutions to optimize decision-making processes. In addition to his academic background, Aymen also has practical experience in architecture and urban planning, providing him with a holistic understanding of urban development issues.
