Vedika Vinaik is a Communications and Events Intern at UNU-CPR.
Her interests focus on digital communication strategy, media analytics and the use of AI in shaping public narratives, with particular attention to translating complex research into clear, audience-focused messaging.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Communication at Columbia University, where she is an Ad Age 40 Under 40 x Columbia Mentee, an IPR NEXT Geoff Curtis Scholarship recipient and a Winter Symposium Speaker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, where she studied media, web design and popular culture.
Prior to this, she worked as a Communications Assistant at the Columbia University Data Science Institute, supporting research communications and digital engagement strategies, and as an AI/LLM Analyst at Innodata, contributing to the development and refinement of generative AI systems. She has also supported communications and donor engagement initiatives at the Muskurahat Foundation.
Vedika has held multiple leadership roles in communications and public relations, including Head of Public Relations for the Extra Curricular Committee at St. Xavier’s College, where she led integrated campaigns and managed a 30+ member team. She has also contributed to large-scale events and partnerships, including Malhar festival and Ithaka Theatre Festival.
Her professional interests include strategic communications, digital media, AI and society, and creative storytelling.
