Senior Fellow

Professor Stella Ladi is a Senior Fellow supporting the Global Governance Innovation Platform (GGI) at UNU-CPR.

Professor Ladi is jointly affiliated with Queen Mary University of London and Panteion University in Athens and is co-editor of the European Political Science journal of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). At Queen Mary, she is a member of the leadership team at the Global Policy Institute, and at Panteion, she serves as Director of the Centre for Political Research. From January to July 2024, she was an Academic Visitor in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford.

She has held academic positions at the University of Sheffield and the University of Exeter, and has been a Research Fellow at the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI). She is also a Research Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and a Research Associate at the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics.

In addition to her academic work, she has served as a public policy expert for the Greek Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Aegean. Her research focuses on crisis and EU policy, Europeanization, multilateralism, global public policy, transnational administration and the role of experts in policymaking.

She has published widely in journals such as the Journal of European Integration, European Political Science, Journal of Common Market Studies, Policy & Society, Regulation & Governance, Public Administration, West European Politics, New Political Economy, Comparative European Politics and Political Studies Review. She is the co-author of Capitalising on Constraint: Bailout Politics in Eurozone Countries (Manchester University Press), with Catherine Moury, Daniel Cardoso and Angie Gago.
