Ruoshui Li is an University Coalition for the Future Intern at the Geneva Office of the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research.
Ruoshui recently graduated with a master’s degree in international relations from China Foreign Affairs University, where she was awarded the First-Class Scholarship and completed an exchange program at the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID). She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in communication and law from China Agricultural University and the University of Colorado Denver, earning a place on the Dean’s List and receiving scholarships for three consecutive years.
Her experience extends across media and cultural institutions. She worked as a media operation intern for live performance at the China National Traditional Orchestra, contributed to film and short video promotion strategy at Sina Weibo, and participated in the production of thematic videos at the People’s Daily.
She was also actively engaged in academic research, publishing and contributing to papers on topics including China’s three-child policy, agile governance approaches to artificial intelligence within international organizations, competition over discourse power, and China’s international initiatives.
Ruoshui’s career interest lies in addressing the many forms of soft inequality present in the world today, whether embedded in discourse and narrative, cultural competition, or intergenerational governance. She seeks ways to foster communication and build bridges to help people overcome divides.
