Jason Hausenloy is an independent policy researcher and visiting fellow at the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research.

He is researching Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance, including the potential creation of an International Agency on AI, global AI standards, enforcing methods for AI verification and evaluations, and the risks from emerging technologies.

Jason is regularly based in Singapore. He has worked with Professor Anthony Aguirre at the Future of Life Institute, looking at the role of third-party countries such as Singapore and Switzerland. Most recently, he worked at the Infocomm Media Development Authority, Singapore's AI standard-setting body, where he co-led the mapping between Singapore's AI Verify framework and NIST AI-RMF.

Jason is an Atlas Fellow, Emergent Ventures winner and co-authored a UNDRR thematic study on risks associated with emerging technology.
