Aleemah Williams is a research intern on a co-op from Northeastern University.
Williams is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy degree from Northeastern University. She received a bachelor's degree in Government (with a concentration in International Relations and Comparative Politics) and minored in Public Policy (with an emphasis on International Development) from Dartmouth College.
Her policy focus is on international collaboration, international development, governance and peacekeeping. She has conducted research on federal economic inclusion policies, international migration policies, equitable development outcomes, and human rights. Her most recent project explored the importance of African-led infrastructure development and was presented to G20 Youth Delegates.
Prior to joining the UNU-CPR, Williams was an International Policy Consultant and Analyst at a global consulting firm based in Kosovo. While at the consulting firm, she supported research advising policies on equitable development for the Kosovo Government and UNICEF Kosovo Programme. Williams was also a Junior Research Associate at an international policy think tank based in Africa, focusing on entrepreneurial diplomacy.
Williams is passionate about supporting international development, human rights, and equitable outcomes. She hopes to extend her policy research to analyze inclusions and sustainable governance models for states. Williams is deeply committed to advancing diplomacy and fostering global sustainable development that protects vulnerable populations.
