The Evidence-Based Policy Research Methods (EPRM) course equips participants with the fundamental tools for designing and analysing evidence-based research to enable better policymaking decisions.
EPRM trains participants in:
- translating policy issues into research questions
- preparing a research proposal, including for a PhD
- analysing qualitative and/or quantitative data
- understanding current academic developments in a particular field
- designing, writing and disseminating proposals for evidence-based research, either in the workplace or in a broader research environment
The course is designed for working professionals keen to improve their research skills and educational achievements while still in their regular jobs.
Participants tend to be policymakers and researchers working for international organizations, governments, public sector institutions, universities, NGOs and think tanks throughout the world. Many participants undertake the course to build on knowledge gained from a master’s degree in order to develop their career, or as a foundation on which to start a PhD.
The application deadline for the "Autumn 2024" session is 25 June 2024.
