To further improve gender equality in health outcomes and to generate learning that supports policy transfer across regional contexts — particularly given the setbacks due to COVID-19 — it is crucial to take stock of how gender has been integrated into large-scale health programmes.

Following the insights of the  “What Works in Gender and Health in the UN” study, there is an opportunity to expand analysis and learn from regional and national examples. As part of these efforts, the UNU International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), the Public Health Foundation of India, and the School of Public Health at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa are inviting organisations and professionals to submit information on government health programmes in Africa, South Asia, or Southeast Asia that have successfully integrated gender considerations.

The submission deadline is 15 May 2022.

Visit the Gender and Health Hub website for full project and submission details.
