Empowering Innovators-Strategies for Sustainable Agri-tech Solutions

Video: INRA organises 2 day capacity building workshop for 30 shortlisted applicants of its INFoCAT Innovation Challenge.

With a theme on Empowering Innovators: Strategies for Sustainable Agri-tech Solutions, UNU-INRA  brought together about 30 green entrepreneurs(shortlisted INFoCAT Innovation Challenge applicants), for training and insights on topics including Green Entrepreneurship, Funding strategies, agritech innovations and practical trainings on ways of powering their agritech innovations with renewable energy sources.

Innovate for Agricultural Technologies (INFoCAT), is an initiative geared towards advancing women and youth economic empowerment through the promotion of low-cost clean energy powered tech solutions in Agriculture. 

There still remains an opportunity for one of these young agritech innovators (Ghana, Senegal and Cote D'Ivoire), to win the final prize of $37,000 to expand their business(last quarter of 2025).

 INFoCAT is sponsored by International Development Research Center (IDRC), Canada.  Project partners include : ENDA Energie (Senegal) and Cote D’Ivoire ( UNU-INRA, Operating Unit).
