Pascale Allotey Appointed Women7 Advisor. Advancing gender equality through expertise.

UNU-IIGH Director Pascale Allotey is appointed as an Advisor of Women7.

Women7 (W7) is a group of civil society organizations that come together to promote proposals on gender equality and women’s rights within the G7 process. Building on feminist principles of intersectionality and inclusion, W7 aims to bring together voices from civil society around the world to critically reflect on and inform G7 outcomes. Its objective is to ensure that G7 leaders make concrete political and financial commitments that can have a tangible, lasting and transformative impact on the lives of women and girls in all their diversity. Women7 hosts rotate on an annual basis along with the G7 presidencies.

Women7 Advisors are international experts from feminist organizations and women’s rights advocacy groups with several years of experience championing gender equality in multilateral processes. In cooperation with the W7 Germany Team, they will lead a multi-stage consultation process to formulate powerful demands to the G7.
