Mike Penkunas is Senior Visiting Fellow at UNU-IIGH.
Mike is a social scientist who is passionate about using applied research to improve health outcomes. His experience in implementation research spans topics such as infectious diseases, mental health, and health systems strengthening. I support, design, and implement training programs for building applied research capacity in low- and middle-income settings. Throughout his professional career, he has conducted health research with the UN, US governmental, academic, and non-governmental sectors.
