Dr Feisul Mustapha is a consultant public health physician best known for his transformational leadership in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Malaysia.

His special area of interest is diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and obesity. At the Ministry of Health Malaysia, he is currently the Deputy Director (NCD) at the Disease Control Division, and he is responsible for policy and program development, and strategic implementation of interventions for the prevention and control of NCDs for the country.

One of his more recent works is the development of the National Strategic Plan for Non-Communicable Diseases (NSP-NCD) 2016-2025. He was awarded The HP Gold Standard Policy Maker of the year in 2013 by Public Affairs Asia for his efforts.

He combines his high-level experiences in the government with active engagement of civil society and multilateral institutions. He is actively involved in global public health where he represents Malaysia at various international platforms including the World Health Organization (WHO). He was a Member of the WHO Ad-hoc Working Group on Implementation, Monitoring and Accountability on the Commission on Ending Childhood Obesity, 2015-2017. He is a member of the Policy Advisory Group of the World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRF) for 2021-2024, and currently is Chair of the Scientific Advisory Group for the Monash University South East Asia Community Observatory (SEACO), 2020-2022.

In addition, Dr Feisul has a special interest in leveraging digital health and technology in catalysing behavioural modification to reduce exposure to NCD risk factors.
