The Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC) is an information centre run jointly by UNU-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan. It seeks to achieve and promote collaboration and partnership between government, business and civil society in an effort to develop sustainable living environment. GEOC’s projects consist of the following three pillars:
Capacity Development
Providing the necessary knowledge, training methods and curriculum, and developing new programmes for individuals and organizations.
Forming Multi-stakeholder Platforms
Supporting the development of multi-stakeholder platforms for addressing environmental issues.
Information Exchange
Promoting information exchange between individuals and organizations through online resources, publications, seminars, symposiums and workshops.
